Our Story
Fashion didn’t start for me as a luxury, it started as survival.
I grew up wanting clothes I simply couldn’t afford, so I did the only thing I could: I learned how to make them myself.
What began as a necessity quickly became a passion. I started experimenting, building pieces from scratch, transforming old garments into something new, & pushing myself to create what I wished existed. Before long, I was the only one in my neighborhood making clothes & that alone set me apart.
But the moment that truly shaped my identity came years later. I had the opportunity for my clothing to be collaborated alongside Virgil Abloh’s work in a music video for one of the biggest artists at the time. Seeing my pieces share the same creative space as his & witnessing his influence firsthand. Left a deep & permanent impact on me.
As I continued designing, The name stuck with me. “The Neighborhood Virgil.”
Today, Through my private custom clothing label, I continue that mission. Every piece I create is made with intention, crafted with precision, & designed to feel exclusive and meaningful. What started from not having enough has grown into a craft, a brand, and a purpose:
To create wearable art that carries a story, my story, your story, & the culture that shaped us.
